Electrolux Professional Assists Middle School In Serving 800-900 Students Daily

Fitzgerald Middle School located in Pinellas Park, FL, has an enrollment of 1,500 sixth to eighth grade students attending it. Of those 1,500 students, 800‐900 buy lunch every day. To better facilitate serving those students, Art Dunham, Assistant Director of the Food Service Department for Pinellas County Schools, purchased an Electrolux air‐o‐convect 62 for the school’s kitchen.

The Electrolux air‐o‐convect is a hybrid convection oven that has the ability to steam, bake, roast, retherm and air‐fry. It has ten boilerless humidity settings on an easy to use control panel and four automatic self‐cleaning cycles. The air‐o‐convect is offered in six and ten pan full size models in both gas and electric.

Dunham first discovered Electrolux Professional while attending the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show – Orlando, FL’s annual exhibit – last September. Dunham was won over after hearing the price point. “For slightly more than a convection oven, we had a greater opportunity to do our menu items justice with the Electrolux air‐o‐convect,” said Dunham. “The staff love its speed and how moist the cooked products come out, and the students are much happier with the meals now.”

Dunham is so pleased with the air‐o‐convect that he ordered two more ovens with stimulus funds and intends to replace the current convection ovens with the air‐o‐convect on an as‐needed basis. He plans to specify them for new schools being built in the county.

The Electrolux air‐o‐convect also comes with the Electrolux Platinum Star® Warranty, which includes an after installation start‐up by a certified technician, 24‐7 technical assistance, and a 2 years parts and 1 year labor day of training with an Electrolux Certified Chef.
