Located in the Pankrác Plains area in Prague, Czech Republic, CITY TOWER is one of the most expressing dominant features of the Prague’s skyline. Former Czechoslovak Broadcasting Building, the skyscraper has been radically reconstructed in 2005 by the American architect Richard Mejer. The 27-floor skyscraper is the highest administration centre in the city, and for its restaurant facilities our foodservice solutions were preferred.
The restaurant’s kitchen located on the 1st underground floor, has been equipped with several air-o-steam® combi ovens and air-o-chill® blast chillers to perform a completely integrated cook and chill process. Also foodservice solutions from Thermaline 900 range were chosen: pressure bratt pan, large induction tops, boiling pans, tilting bratt pans and solid eco tops.
For the canteen, found on the 2nd floor, a flight type dishwasher was chosen to perform the dishwashing operations, as it is able to ensure top washing performances, easiness of cleaning and also substantial cost savings thanks to the reduction in use of water, detergent and energy consumption. The Electrolux Professional self service solutions were chosen for a number of characteristics which allow a customized line: modularity, unique design and the large number of models available, high quality of the materials used and the completeness of its components to ensure maximum functionality. Furthermore, all the functions guarantee perfect visibility, display and easy access for the consumer to the food.
On the 27th floor, near the conference centre, a luxury restaurant offers a unique view of Prague. The restaurant’s kitchen has been equipped with air-o-steam® combi ovens and air-o-chill® blast chillers, Thermaline 900 induction wok, solid eco tops and fry tops, while to perform the dishwashing operations, a rack type dishwasher was chosen.
The CITY TOWER building stands in the area outlined by the Hvězdova, Na Pankráci, Na Strži, Milevská and Pujmanové streets and is very close to Prague’s historical city centre which can be reached in just 5 minutes by car.
Many major international companies are already located in the Prague 4 area (Zentiva, Central Group, Honeywell, Regus, Česká spořitelna, Raiffeisenbank, GE Money Bank, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Telefónica O2, PPF, T-Mobile, Česká pojišťovna and others): this business centre with huge development potential, is already taking shape on the Pankrác Plains.
The CITY TOWER has 27 above-the-ground and 3 underground floors and is 109 metres high: an outstanding combination of technology and design, which emphasizes security and on the functioning links within the entire building. It is the tallest building in the Czech Republic and represents the most important part of the CITY Project. |
